Bicycling around Hardanger

At Hardanger Feriesenter we rent out bicycles for children and adults. There are many beautiful paths in the vicinity that are perfect for bicycling. 

Just by Hardanger Feriesenter there is a beautiful road almost completely without car traffic, leading to Øystese along the fjord. Returning from Øystese you can take the walking and bicycle path until the turn towards Børve. The path goes uphill and the view gets better and better as you get closer to Neshagen and back to Hardanger Feriesenter.

Steinsdalen outside Norheimsund and Fitjadalen just above Øystese are also perfect for bicycling. 

We can suggest bicycle trips with varying difficulty and distance, so that it suits both the sporty ones and families with children.

Steinsdalsfossen waterfall

Steinsdalsfossen is among the most visited waterfalls in Norway. It is special because there is a path behind it. 

Skårsvatnet and Fyksesund bridge

On your way to Fyksesund bridge you can stop by the Skårsvatned lake and look at the goldfish. The bicycle path goes through a well kept cultural environment.

A multiple-day classic of more than 200 km through beautiful villages along the world famous Hardanger fjord.
